We are here to be a guide and a resource for the most accurate information. As you probably already know some things are not made to last forever. If we can help people make informed decisions about their next appliance purchase or just help the public be more informed that is our goal. 

The inspiration for creating this blog was simple. We ended up purchasing a new washer and dryer 13 months ago and the drum on our washer is already broken. This has left us without a washer for the past month. We ended up purchasing from our local Lowe’s store. It’s to bad the drum didn’t go one month earlier. If it did our in store warranty would have covered a new one. Luckily we decided to purchase extended warranty, even know it’s been a headache to deal with we are glad we purchased warranty. The service tech arrived at our house last week and told us the barring broke and oil has been going all over the place. Before leaving he told us good thing you got warranty! The parts we just ordered cost $1400. Which is more than the washer itself considering we only paid $795 for the washer. 

When purchasing a fridge, dishwasher, washer, dryer or any other appliances we always recommend going with warranty. Even knowing calling, claim numbers and wait times due to parts shortages are a pain, paying out of pocket for expensive repairs or buying new appliances within a year would be much more painful.
